"Interior design should be both functional and innovative." This is the design philosophy which brought Brett Sugerman and Giselle Loor Sugerman together in 2006 to found b+g design. With almost 40 years of combined industry experience, these lifestyle innovators have found their niche in high-end residential and executive-class commercial projects.

According to the Sugermans, they begin every project by thoroughly interviewing their clients in order to understand how they want to live in their new home. This can be communicated through a number of ways, from sharing photos of spaces they love to sharing experiences of places that have left an impression on them. “Sometimes,” says Giselle, “it is a feeling rather than an image that sparks our creativity and guides us towards the right design concept.”

The Sugermans create spaces made to “live larger,” allowing for a more functional living space. By repeating design elements, the Sugermans allow a more cohesive flow between rooms, adding to this open concept. Along with the focus on the desires of the client’s and their lifestyle, care is taken to create functional zones within the home, and then within individual rooms.
