Ligné Atelier to Host "Never Better" from Local Miami Artist Alex Yanes

Since deciding to pursue art full-time in 2006, Miami native Alex Yanes’ work speaks volumes about who is he and what he has seen. His work is the result of immersion in skateboard culture during his youth, emulating the style of graphics on skateboards themselves. Whimsical yet relatable, Yanes’ art embodies an innovative use of color and imaginative subject matter.
Yanes “builds something out of nothing,” elevating garbage to art and giving it a whole new life. His art comes alive via wood, acrylic, resin, and enamel in three-dimensional installations. Each piece is a unique view into his history and love affair with art, catching the eye of collectors and new art enthusiasts alike.
Yanes’ work is now a staple in Wynwood’s art district, and the Ligné Atelier is proud to host him during Art Basel this December.
